Reporting on Corporate Responsibility Performance
Reporting is an important way for the Telenor Group to monitor its economic, environmental and social impact and to communicate with stakeholders. All our reporting is presented on this website.
CR reports from the Telenor Group:
- The Telenor Annual Report includes information on our environmental and social performance from 2001 onwards
- Global Reporting Initiative Index is a framework for reporting on our economic, environmental, and social performance.
We also report to external organisations and analysts:
- The Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes rank companies worldwide based on their performance according to economic, environmental and social criteria. 2008 was the second year that Telenor occupied the number one spot in mobile telecommunications.
- The United Nations Global Compact includes 10 core principles of corporate responsibility. By participating in the Global Compact, Telenor has undertaken to include these principles in its activities. Read Telenor's latest Communication on Progress.
- Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) is an independent not-for-profit organization which was established in 2000 to advocate for a response to climate change. Telenor reports to the CDP project annually on its performance related to climate change.
