A Healthier Environment
The Telenor Group has more than 160 million customers, 36 000 employees, thousands of installations and hundreds of office buildings. Our worldwide activities use a considerable amount of energy, which again is a strain upon the environment.

We support a healthier environment by:
1. Improving the environmental performance
We started monitoring our environmental efforts in 1996 and we are constantly overseeing our business activities in order to identify new ways to improve our performance. We aim to decrease energy consumption, reduce CO2 emissions and diminish the amount of waste we produce.
2. Assisting customers by offering new options
By connecting people through phone and broadband services, we increase our customers’ options and flexibility. Home offices, virtual universities and e-commerce solutions greatly reduce the need to travel. Access to online media and online documents makes us less dependent on paper.
