Norwegian School of Management, Centre for Corporate Responsibility
In 2007 Telenor entered a 3 year partnership with the Norwegian School of Management’s Centre for Corporate Responsibility (CR). This provides Telenor with an important source of academic resources and an opportunity to engage with students in the field of Corporate Responsibility.

Red Cross
Telenor has entered into a partnership with the Red Cross with the aim of enhancing the organisation’s capacity for carrying out humanitarian work. The partnership will run until 2009, and encompasses the Red Cross Telephone for Children and Youth.

Nobel Peace Centre
Telenor has been one of the Nobel Peace Center’s main partners since 2004. The current partnership agreement from 2008 until 2011 is worth NOK 7.5 million (USD 1.427 million) . The idea behind the establishment of the Centre, located in the old train station at Vestbanen in Oslo, is communication in the widest sense of the word. The Nobel Peace Center presents the Peace Prize laureates and their work, Alfred Nobel and the Nobel organisations, as well as topics relating to war, peace and conflict resolution.

Global Compact
The UN Global Compact, initiated in 1999 by forner Secretary General Kofi Annan, encourages businesses to work towards 10 principles covering human rights, labour rights, environment and anti-corruption. Telenor is a member of the Global Compact.

ETNO's working group on environment and social responsibility
The European Telecommunications Network Operators' Association (ETNO) works on telecom issues on the European level. Telenor takes part in for example the Working Group on Environment and Social Responsibility.

Ethical Trading Initiative
Telenor is a member of The Ethical Trading Initiative - Norway (website in Norwegian only). ETI-N is a multi stakeholder initiative involving companies, employers’ organisations, trade unions and NGOs. The activities are based on the acknowledgement that companies have a responsibility towards human rights (including internationally accepted labour rights) in their supply chain.
