European Framework on Safer Mobile Use

On 7 February 2007 sixteen signatories, among them Telenor, have signed the EU-wide Framework, which puts forward recommendations to ensure that younger teenagers and children can safely access content on their mobile phones.

Awareness raising campaigns on safer mobile use in Denmark

The Telecommunication Industries Association in Denmark (TI) distributed 200.000 leaflets on the proper use of mobile phones to all students in the 5th grade through their schools.

Telenor in Norway – alongside with the other mobile network provider – is party to an agreement in which all content providers with operations in Norway participate.

Illegal content – blocking access to child sexual abuse images

In July 2005 Telenor was the first mobile operator to introduce a filter for mobile phones limiting access to websites containing images depicting sexual assaults on children.
