HealthLine improved
(12 October, 2007) Grameenphone’s medical advice and consultation service, HealthLine has increased its capacity and become easier to use.
Registration removed
Feedback collected from a market survey has led Grameenphone to improve its HealthLine service. As a result, the registration process has now been removed enabling Grameenphone subscribers to get direct medical advice and consultation service from HealthLine.
Increased capacity
HealthLine has also increased its capacity over the past few months. Today, the doctors at the call centre answers more calls than previously.

Available services
Apart from the core medical consultation service, the following additional medical information services are available:
- doctor and medical facility information,
- information on drug or pharmacy,
- information and interpretation of laboratory test reports & data,
- emergency support information as supplementary services.
Soon available for non-GP subscribers
Non-GP subscribers and non-mobile users will soon be able to access these services through Community Information Centres and Village Phones.
Global award to HealthLine
The HealthLine service won the GSM Association Award 2007 under the "Best Use of Mobile for Social & Economic Development" category.
