Campaign for Proper Cell Phone Use in Denmark
Every year the Telecommunication Industries Association in Denmark (TI) distributes leaflets on cell phone etiquette to all fifth grade students.
This year 200 000 copies of the leaflet “Go’ Mobilstil” were sent out. The leaflet has had a very favourable reception and is often used as a basis for discussing the subject of proper cell phone use in class.
The leaflet is designed to reach out to this age-group on issues such as protecting yourself against unwanted contact, avoiding harassment from other people, and keeping the phone bill low.
Safe-use brochure for parents
TI has also developed a brochure which is handed out in Sonofon’s shops to parents who buy a phone or a subscription for their children. The brochure advises parents on the subjects they need to be aware of and talk about with their children, regarding the use of mobile phones.
