Initiatives in Montenegro

Telenor Montenegro is committed to safe use of mobile Internet, as well as to providing products that will protect even the most vulnerable members of society. This is why Telenor develops and provides services aimed to protect children while being on the Internet.

In February 2010, Telenor Montenegro has teamed up with local law enforcement to prevent access to child pornography from mobile phones.

For several years, Telenor Group has recycled mobile phones and batteries through campaigns, collecting hundreds of thousands of handsets.

On 1 October 2009, Promonte, the Telenor Group’s Montenegrin operation launched its mobile phone recycling campaign “Old phone, new life”.

Telenor Montenegro has launched the Project “Connecting generations” which aims to work towards making the Internet a safer place for children in Montenegro.

In November 2009 Telenor Montenegro launched an environmentally-friendly initiative by using solar and wind energy to power one of its repeater sites.
