In Faldbakken's video "Untitled (Pedal Pumping)" we see a young woman who repeatedly tries to start a red car. It is summer: we see insects in flight, sunlight falling upon the car, hear the sound of a motor that will not start, and watch her red sandals which time and again pump the pedal up and down. A hopeless scene captured with a feeling reminiscent of old Super 8 films and the early 60s.
