Sandberg is considered as one of Norway’s most important contemporary artists. In 2006, the Norwegian newspaper Morgenbladet selected his “portraits” as one of the twelve most important Norwegian works of art (post Edvard Munch). Sandberg mainly photographs in black and white. His subjects include sky compositions and pictures from airports and a range of portraits, including some infants and nudes.
