Photography

A considerable part of the Telenor Art Collection are photographic works. We have chosen to define the majority of these photographs as "portraits" - such as portraits of people, buildings, animals and flowers. Here you will find the key photographic works in the collection.

At least since the 1990s photography has been an important medium for contemporary artists. Most of the photographic works in the Telenor Art Collection have been produced in the period 1990-2010. The collection also contains interesting vintage photographs of artists that have been of great importance to the development of photography as an artistic medium. Artists such as William Eggleston and Walker Evans are seminal figures in this respect. Gabrial Orozco and Hiroshi Sugimoto are two other artists whose works we are proud to have been able to include in the collection.
