Asta Nørregaard

The portrait of Jens Ulrik Ferdinand Bugge (1835-1906) is painted the year before he died, and is a both a formal and kind portrait of an aging pioneer of Norwegian telegraphy. He joined the first telegraphy course in 1855, and was manager of several telegraphy stations.
