Anne Karin Furunes

Anne Karin Furunes, born in 1961 in Norway, lives and works in Trondheim.

She graduated from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Oslo and the Norwegian Technical High School’s Department of Architecture. She is Professor at the Trondheim Academy of Fine Art. In Norway, Furunes is best known for her 500-meter-long decoration at the National theatre metro station in Oslo. Two parallel picture friezes in perforated steel featuring various images seem to follow you along the platform area.
