Born 1954 in Norway

 Jenssen is one of Norway’s best-known artists living today. He lives and works in Berlin and has an art degree from the Academy of Fine Art in Oslo. He has also studied in Berlin and New York and his work has been widely exhibited. He was the first Norwegian selected to participate at Documenta in Kassel in 1992, which became his international breakthrough.  Jenssen’s work is featured in major and renowned museums and collections in Europe. He has been a professor of fine art at Hochschule für Bildende Künste in Hamburg and holds the same position at Hochscule für Bildende Künste in Braunschweig, Germany.

In the 1970s he played for the FK Lyn and Lillestrøm football clubs in Norway.
