Jenny Holzer

Jenny Holzer was born in 1950 in the USA. She lives and works in New York. She graduated from Ohio University, Rhode Island School of Design and the Independent Study Program at the Whitney Museum of American Art. The main focus of Holzer’s work is the use of words and ideas in public space. She is known for her short texts, so-called "truisms", which she has exhibited on everything from small signs, posters and T-shirts to large installations integrated with buildings, such as the Reichstag in Berlin.
