Montenegro

Our wholly-owned subsidiary Promonte, is the leading provider of mobile telecommunication services in Montenegro.

Promonte holds a GSM 900, a GSM 1800 and 3G license. Promonte's GSM network had a geographical coverage of approximately 75.5% and population coverage of 98.7% at year-end 2006.

Services

Since commercial launch of GSM services in 1996, Promonte has positioned itself as an innovative and quality operator within all segments, focusing its products and services on simplicity of tariff structure and user-friendliness. The company primarily offers mobile voice, roaming, value-added services and mobile data services over GPRS-EDGE-3G to its subscribers on both a prepaid and contract basis. Promonte now provides full EDGE coverage in its network and 3G coverage in nine municipalities. Within next 4 years 97% of the populous teritory of Montenegro will be covered with 3G signal.

Outlets and retail

At year-end 2006, Promonte markets and distributes its mobile telephone services through independent dealers with 2,011 points of prepaid sale, including two wholly owned outlets in the capital Podgorica. In addition, Promonte entered into “shop-in-shop” and “shop-in-post” agreements with five independent dealers. By the end of 2006, 24 shops offered Promonte postpaid mobile service to the market.
