Sigve Brekke

President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Background: Sigve Brekke, born 1959, joined Telenor in 1998 as an Advisor, and was in 1999 employed as Manager Business Development and later Managing Director of Telenor International, Region Asia. Mr. Brekke served as co-Chief Executive Officer of dtac from 2002 to 2005, and Chief Executive Officer in dtac from 2005-2008. He most recently served as Executive Vice President and Head of Asia Region, prior to his appointment to President and CEO. Before joining Telenor, Mr. Brekke has served as the State Secretary (Deputy Minister) of Defence in Norway in 1993, and has also held position as an associate at the Center for Science and International Affairs, at Harvard University, USA.

Education: Mr. Brekke holds a Master degree in Public Administration from John F. Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University.

Jørgen C. Arentz Rostrup

Background: Jørgen Rostrup has more than 20 years’ business experience in an international context and comes from the position as President of Yara North America, Inc. He has a broad range of management positions in two of Norway’s leading companies, including Country Manager for Yara Ghana Ltd., CFO in Norsk Hydro AS, Executive Vice President Energy in Hydro and CFO for Hydro’s Norwegian oil and gas activity. Rostrup has also been on several boards, including positions within the private equity and investment banking area.

Education: Jørgen Rostrup holds a Master’s Degree in Economics and Business Administration from the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH).

Jon Erik Haug

Morten Karlsen Sørby

Background: Morten Karlsen Sørby, born 1959, joined Telenor in 1993 and has served in a number of executive positions. In 2014, Sørby was CEO of Uninor, Telenor’s wholly owned operations in India and comes now from the position as acting CFO. He has previously served as the Executive Vice President in charge of corporate strategy and regulatory affairs in Telenor Group. Sørby was also the Executive Vice President and head of the Norwegian and Nordic mobile and fixed network operations of Telenor.

Education: Sørby holds a Master of Science in Business Administration from the University of Karlstad. He has also completed additional education from IMD in Switzerland and is a state-authorized public accountant in Norway.

Wenche Agerup

Background: Wenche Agerup, born 1964, was previously Executive Vice President, Corporate Staffs at Hydro. She worked in Hydro from 1997 until January 2015, and held several positions including plant manager in Årdal, Norway, and head of Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A). From 1994-2008 Ruza served as the assistant professor at the Civil Engineering Faculty University of Montenegro.

Gunnar Sellæg

Background: Jon Gravråk, born 1978, comes from the position as Partner in McKinsey & Company where he has been for 13 years. He has primarily worked with companies within the telecom, high-tech and private equity sectors, but also served clients in media, e-commerce, retail and financial services. Berit Svendsen

Background: Berit Svendsen, born 1963, joined Telenor in 1988 as a Research Scientist. From 2000 to 2005 she was Executive Vice President and CTO of Telenor and also working Chair of Telenor R&D. Alexandra Reich

Background: Alexandra Reich, born in 1963 and an Austrian national, has served as EVP and Head of Mobile Business for Swisscom Enterprise since 2014, after joining the Swiss company in 2009. Having initially started her career in investment banking, Reich became a pioneer in the online business with her first own digital business start-up in 1986. In 2001, Reich joined the telecommunications industry, holding roles at VIAG Interkom, General Manager of T-Online Austria, Chief Operating Officer (COO) at 3G Hutchison Austria and COO for private customers at Sunrise in Zurich.

Education: Reich holds a Business Management Degree from Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration in Austria.

Lars-Åke Norling

Petter-Børre Furberg

Background: Since joining Telenor 14 years ago, Mr. Furberg has held a number of senior management positions within the company, including dtac’s CFO and Chief Marketing Officer, where he oversaw product development, sales and marketing. He also previously served as Senior Vice President, Head of Financial Services at Telenor Group. Prior to joining Telenor he held senior positions with the Norwegian Parliament and Norwegian Ministry of Finance. He was the CEO of Telenor Myanmar from 2013 to 2016 and comes now from a position as Senior Vice President Telenor Digital Businesses.

Education: 

Furberg holds a degree in economics and business administration based on a four year programme (Siviløkonom) from the Norwegian School of Economics and is a Certified European Financial Analyst (AFA/CEFA).
